Company History

Founded in 1970, R&R Sales & Marketing Company, Inc. is a second-generation business headquartered in Saginaw, Michigan. The company is currently headed by President and Chief Executive Officer, Ralph Furlo.

As a sales and marketing company, R&R developed many performance-improvement programs to help sales people from several Fortune 500 companies exceed performance standards while building consumer awareness. Since food products have always been a popular incentive, R&R utilized them as reward mechanisms.

Because of this, R&R associates purchased the Tucker and Clarke Food Brokerage Company and operated it independently from R&R as a full-service food brokerage business for 10 years. In 1990, R&R incorporated with offices in Saginaw, Michigan.

A leading food broker in the Flint, Saginaw, Bay City and Northern Michigan markets, R&R adjusted and increased its penetration in Michigan and throughout the midwest to accommodate the changing food industry. As a result, R&R now represents manufacturing companies throughout North America.

R&R staff consists of seasoned sales and marketing professionals including former supermarket executives, wholesalers and food brokers.

Ralph L. Furlo, Jr. – President & Chief Executive Officer

R&R’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Ralph Furlo, is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and driving the company’s sales and marketing strategies. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge gained through more than 40 years of experience within the food sales and distribution industries, Ralph has assembled a sales team of proven food professionals.

With his strong management skills, in-depth knowledge of the marketplace and highly competitive, results-oriented approach, Ralph and his team produce profitable results for both customers and principals alike.

Bryan Schmitt – Vice President & Director, Sales & Marketing

Bryan Schmitt provides extensive knowledge and experience for R&R as the Vice President and Director of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining our team, Bryan served as Corporate Vice President at J. M. Schneiders Bros. Meats and Piller’s Deli, and as Vice President of Sales for Campbell Company of Canada. With this background, he honed a concept of systematic strategic planning that has exceeded the aggressive sales and marketing expectations of both companies, our principals and customers alike. He has forged strong interpersonal relationships with a diverse array of clients.

Today, Bryan applies these same time-tested concepts to R&R, continuing to bolster the firm’s presence as a world-class marketing company. He establishes a clear, compelling vision for each customer and principal, and is wholly dedicated to ensuring solid sales growth and performance in each transaction. He currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
